The Time Cycle is a performance
for young people ages 6 and up. A time pilot named Grace Faluta
is sent on a crazy adventure back in time where she visits Albert
Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, and a mysterious Medieval Alchemist.
Incorporating NACL signature theatre elements-- a capella song,
stilt walking, and great costumes-- this 40 minute piece mixes
science, art, and historical facts to tell an adventurous tale
of the power of knowledge, imagination, and belief. The performance
features Tannis Kowalchuk, Brad Krumholz, and Megan Wyler.

LISA
BLACK, Murderers Bay (Los Angeles)
Murderers Bay, a solo show written
and performed by Los Angeles artist, Lisa Black, is a spellbinding
travelogue that explodes with tales of battle and peaceful acts
that beget legends in New Zealand's Thermal District. Murderers
Bay strikes terror, makes you laugh, and speaks directly from
the heart of actress Lisa Black, who has performed in Poland,
Italy, Romania, Brazil, Belgium, and across North America.
and
LAURA ASTWOOD, The Garden (Toronto)--
USA Premiere
The Garden introduces us
to a vigorous young woman who is dying and has one hour before
her spirit must depart for the next place. With this impossible
time-limit looming, the performance explores the emotional and
psychological state of a woman whose time is up, and who must
leave life before she's ready. Toronto based actor Laura Astwood
and director Karin Randoja have created an intricate and moving
portrait, based on text from the letters of Barbara Gosling Gray.
