Moving Humans from New Orleans perform
Nita and Zita

Flora and Piroska Gellert were two Jewish sisters from Romania who made their name in America as Nita and Zita, International Dancers. They settled in New Orleans and became local legends: the Gypsy ladies who walked to Schwegman's grocery in formal dresses, who painted their house with polka dots, inside and out and performed in the French Quarter, sewing their own costumes and choreographing their own routines. Nita and Zita explores the mystery and mystique of these two eccentric sisters.
