DEEP SPACE RESIDENCY

Deep Space performance residencies support theatre artists who create devised, original, or ensemble performance, and who are in the final phase of creation of a new work. Deep Space is designed to support artists who need extended time and space in the theatre to incorporate production elements and execute technical rehearsals. Artists receive one week of NACL theatre space and housing in exchange for a public presentation of the company’s production at the end of the week.

CO-PRODUCTIONS

NACL presents performances throughout the year. To be presented at NACL, performances should be fully realized and uphold our mission of creating and presenting original, devised and ensemble theatre. NACL offers guest companies a 50-50 split of the box office, publicity, ticket sales, and front of house operations. Generally, performances will play either one or two nights over the course of a weekend. Housing is available at NACL’s artist residence.

THE NACL CATSKILL FESTIVAL OF NEW THEATRE

Since 2000, NACL has produced The Catskill Festival of New Theatre, its annual international festival of original, ensemble performance. The festival not only presents audiences with some of the most exciting work by contemporary ensembles and artists from across North America, but the festival is also a meeting place for artists to gather and share their work, eat meals together, and exchange stories in a nurturing and dynamic community.

INTERNSHIPS

NACL offers young professionals and students of theatre internships in all aspects of company operations including administrative, management, technical, and artistic work.
